Mendoza Argentina WE LOVE VINO

We are now in Mendoza, Argentina. The wine capital of Argentina. We spent our time here in the beautiful parks and on a entire day bike tour thorugh the major wineries. We learned so much about wine and enjoyed our first tasting ever in life. We cant wait to compare it to the states. We went on a bike ride around the countryside and visited about 3 wineries and one olive oil, chocolate and absinthe distillery. First time for absinthe as well it was crazy and burned a lot. It was also a blistering 100 degrees during the ride so we made sure to stay hydrated as well. We visited the oldest winery in the region from 1869 and learned so much about the process of wine making. The winery was so old that it's storage barrels were made from brick from France. We feel like we know so much more about wine and really visited some of the best Malbec producers in the world. It was a druken adventure on the bikes too with no helmets. But we made it drunk and alive. They need to invent something like this in the states. We had an awesome premade sack lunch with a cab-sav (as they called it) picnic in the back of the winery and just chilled. It was an awesome day. We are getting close to the end of this adventure, so the posts are far and few between because we are trying to really enjoy our time out and about here. I just finished The Motorcycle Diaries by Ernesto Che Guevara and he had an interesting quote about the end of an adventure that helps me cope with leaving south America he said, “An expedition has two points, the point of departure and the point of arrival. If your intention is to make the second theoretical point coincide with the actual point of arrival, don't think about the means- because the journey is a virtual space that finishes when it finishes, and there are as many means as there are different ways of “finishing." That is to say, the means are endless." So the means of this travel experience are endless and no matter when I think this trip is ending the adventure has just begun. So we are back to Buenos Aires and then we will see where after that. Hopefully the pictures below are self explainitary.'Paz and Buen ondas!
