Granada to Ometepe to Managua to Little Corn Islands

Hey everyone!

Just a quick note to let you know that we are great and loving Nicaragua. My favorite country of the trip, it is so amazing here and the people are chill. We have had some amazing travels, and some of the hardest ever, but now we are good because we are on the most beautiful island yet, no roads, hardly any people and the most amazing beaches and diving of the trip. WE just got done with our first two dives here at Blowing rock. WE saw reef sharks, nurse sharks, eagle rays, so many fish I cannot even list them. We are living up the island vibes on this last few days of the trip. We have now been to four different islands in Central America. Just wanted to let you know that we are still good and we have so many stories to tell that I cannot put them all here because of my time limit, but I will asap. See you all soon and much love from a tiny island in the Caribbean. Really we have to leave this?????

Leaving Utila

Hello Everyone!!!!

So yes we are finally leaving the Island of Utila off the coast of Honduras this Tuesday. In case non of you have heard, my Aunt Nancy (Daniel's Mom) passed away a couple of days ago. It is really sad to not have her wonderful presence here on earth anymore, but we all know that she will be with us for the rest of our lives and continue to live through the family. Amber and I really have had a hard time not being there with the family and especially for Dan (aka Cuz). I know that this is a hard time for him and I really want to support him (both of us do). So we have decided to cut the trip short by a month and not do the rest of Panama, Columbia and Peru. We are going to spend about three more weeks in Honduras and Nicaragua to really get the feel of these countries and then head home. We have decided that on our net trip we can work Panama down and also do Brazil. Who knows when that will be, but it is really important for us to be with the family right now. We will let you know when we are officially headed home. Now we are trying to book the rest of the trip and make plans. So sad to leave all of our friends here on the island but we have been here for three weeks so we got a good amount of time to see everything. Yesterday was a great day. Amber, Lacy and I rented a golf cart and saw tons if the island including the fresh water caves, a old drug plane crash and hung out on a beach. We also had a great time out dressed as pirates for one of the biggest party nights on the island. It was so much fun and we were out super late. So today is chill TV time and sleep! It is sooooo hot today! Let us know how you all are doing and hope to see you soon. Lots of love and positive thoughts to the Garcia/Andersen clan.

Utila Update

Hello everyone! Just wanted to say hi and let you know that we are still doing good here on the island. We finished our advanced course in diving earlier this week. On our night dive we saw an Octopus, three types of Rays, squid, lobsters, conches and many other fish. Amber overcame the fear and we both dove in the dark with flashlights. We are now advanced divers! That means that we can now go down to 100ft below the surface. Now we are waiting to do our last two dives after we get over this little cold that the both of us have. It has been going around the island and we have been trying to get better for three days now. Luckily we have our own place so we can relax and recoup here. Yesterday Amber was able to make a cake for our friends Dave's 30th birthday, it was so yummy and she got to share it with like 12 people! We all went out to dinner and had some delicious enchiladas. They were fried and had a garlic cream sauce. Different, yet so good!!!!!! So today we are going to swim a little at the shop and sun-bathe, but other than that we are trying to take it easy to get better by the weekend. The Sunjam festival is this weekend, but it is way to expensive for our budget for one day ($50), so we are just going to the beach party here on the island and seeing the local DJ's. Okay time to chill, we both just sneezed at the same time. Its so hard to be sick on vacation, plus it is so freakin' hot! Like 90 degrees everyday. So time to go to the ocean for awhile. Oh yeah we have discovered Baliadas, like a quesadilla with veggies and a local sauce and meat. Oh man they are good, filling and ony $1.50. Okay heres a couple more pictures. Hope that you all are good.

Evening in Times Square with Josh

So I know these are a little late and random, but our buddy Josh (CJ's partner) visited us for only one night in NYC before he preformed on The View. He is a dancer and recently filmed Weird Al Yankovic's video Perform This Way. The performance aired earlier this month. It was so great to see him in New York, we missed you CJ! The other girl in the pictures is his friend Ganelle from home, Puerto Rico. We spent the night in Times Square and at a Irish Pub. It was awesome to see him in another city and a real surprise. Times Square at night it so bright! Thanks Josh for your photographic skill and for sharing the pictures. This was right after we lost our camera! Gracias.
